Tosco Music provides live music with a purpose! Born from intimate living room jam sessions in Charlotte, NC, Tosco Music Parties have grown into popular community concerts where nationally recognized acts share the stage with undiscovered artists and audience members are invited to sing along, including at FabFest-Charlotte's Beatles Festival. From concerts and open mic nights to music scholarships and outreach programs, we help you explore, develop and share your passion for music!
Our nonprofit mission is to present a wide variety of music through performances and outreach programs, foster a sense of community among listeners and performers through inclusive participation; and connect professional and amateur musicians to share and inspire one another. We serve our community with four impact areas:

@@brianmoulton3093 but is Joey at fault or the promoter/host who introduces the song? I mean, I’ve heard and seen a lot of posts that Joey has kind of taken too much credit for certain Badfinger songs. But he’s all we’ve got now, right? At least he’s still promoting Badfinger.
@@easy56wedge Yeah, you're basically right I reckon. But y'know...what about that live album where he turned himself up and overdubbed himself and all that nonsense? Why couldn't he have had the good grace to take part in Dan Matovina's book? I can't hate Joey like some do, after all, he's a big part of all that great music. Pete cared for him enough to write 2 very well meaning songs about him. I think his contribution to the Wish You Were Here album is absolutely immense. He's just a bit of a dickhead and that's the unfortunate truth of the matter.
@@brianmoulton3093 Oh yeah, I get where you're coming from. That "live" album and what he did with is can't be forgiven. There was also that time at the Grammy's (I think) when he helped accept an award for Without You. He had no part in writing that song - it was all Pete and Tommy. Dan's book is phenomenal. It should be required reading for anyone in the concert business / recording industry. I agree wholeheartedly about Wish You Were Here. Amazing album and I curse Warner Bros as often as I can for not promoting it and for actually removing it from sales shelves. I've met Joey and he is seemingly a genuinely nice guy. He signed my original copy of the Straight Up album, writing "It was the best of times..." Can't argue with that sentiment. I also talked to Mike once on the phone. He too was a great guy. I was trying to get him to a concert industry awards show I was helping with. I was reminiscing about Badfinger with him and he asked if I was going to call Joey. I told him I hadn't yet and still had to contact his management for his number. Mike gave it to me and said he hoped Joey would consider and to let him know. Joey did attend but Mike did not as he died about a month after I talked to him. I have no idea if he was planning on attending. One more thing, when I talked to both of them I mentioned Baby Blue was the first song I learned on guitar. They both immediately said it was such a great song and Pete and Tommy did themselves proud on that one. LOL!
